Yes, the Master of Learning Intervention is available both face-to-face at Parkville and fully online. Both Semester 1 and Semester 2 commencement is available face-to-face or via online delivery, and the online course offers the same outcomes as the face-to-face commencement. However, the online course is not available to international students who are holders of an Australian student visa for study onshore in Australia — it is available to all other international students to study wholly online.
Stream A is suitable for teachers who are registered with the Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) and seeking a further qualification in special education. Stream A students may already have worked with people with disabilities, people who are deaf or hard of hearing (DHH), or learning difficulties in other community contexts. Stream B is suitable for allied health practitioners, early childhood educators, and international students who wish to increase their understanding and skills in learning intervention.
Yes, a range of scholarships is available. All domestic applicants will be automatically considered for a 25% fee remission through the Learning Intervention Graduate Scholarship. Additionally, there is support available from the Department of Education, and Commonwealth Supported Places (CSPs) are also available.
Students can specialise in one of the following areas: Disability, Learning Difficulties, or Deaf Education (DE), allowing them to develop targeted expertise in supporting the specialist learning needs of children and young people.
