About This Course

Our Master of Medicine (Clinical Epidemiology) is a postgraduate coursework degree that will give you the skills to find, interpret and evaluate research evidence to improve patient care outcomes and the skills needed to generate high-quality clinical research. It is compulsory to complete two core units in introductory clinical epidemiology and biostatistics and a capstone unit, but you are free to choose 5 elective units that suit your personal interest. Graduates from this program may be eligible to apply for CPD/CME points with the medical colleges in which they are completing their training.

Requirements

Resumé including your education and employment history
Proof of identity: a valid passport (biodata page). Alternatively, an Australian birth certificate or Australian or New Zealand citizenship certificate for domestic students
Current or final official academic transcripts and their official English translation copy if the original transcripts were issued in a language other than English
Currently enrolled University of Sydney students do not need to provide a copy of their transcript(s)
Credit transcript(s) may be required if you were granted credit for studies previously undertaken
Final testamur or proof of completion of your qualification and its official English translation copy if it was issued in a language other than English
Proof of English proficiency (e.g. IELTS, TOEFL results) where required
For courses with mandatory prerequisites, official detailed unit outlines for all prerequisite units in your studies which you believe will meet the prerequisite requirements
Domestic applicants only: In order to be considered for the award of Commonwealth Supported Places and Clinical Epidemiology Scholarships, please complete the admission supplementary form to demonstrate how you meet each criterion

When are the application closing dates for this course?

The closing date for Semester 1 intake is 31 January of the commencing year, and the closing date for Semester 2 intake is 15 July of the commencing year. Separate deadlines apply for scholarship applications.

Graduates from this program may be eligible to apply for CPD/CME points with the medical colleges in which they are completing their training.
