Yes, a Mental Health Nurse Specialisation is available for registered nurses, accredited by the Australian College of Mental Health Nurses (ACMHN). Graduates receive formal transcript notation in Mental Health Nursing (Non-Clinical), supporting career recognition, leadership, and advanced practice opportunities. Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse (RN) is required at the time of application.
The Master of Mental Health qualification requires the completion of 12 subjects (for a total of 72 credit points), which can be completed within three (3) semesters of full-time study or four (4) or more semesters of part-time study.
Tuition fees are $35,700 for domestic students and $43,200 for international students. FEE-HELP is available to eligible Australian citizens.
Applicants need an Australian Bachelor's degree or higher, or an overseas qualification equivalent to an Australian Bachelor's degree or higher. Applicants who are not eligible for direct entry but are eligible for the Graduate Certificate can transition to the Master's degree upon successful completion of the Graduate Certificate requirements.
