Master of Occupational Therapy (Graduate Entry)

The Master of Occupational Therapy (Graduate Entry) is an intensive program that prepares you to become a registered occupational therapist in two years, building on a prior degree.
The degree takes a holistic approach to health, considering the physical, emotional and social aspects of wellbeing. You explore the science of the body, developing expertise in human neuroanatomy, neurophysiology and pathology, and learn to identify how the environment affects occupational performance and to design interventions based on individual needs.
Under the guidance of experienced occupational therapists and researchers you work on improving health across the lifespan, from childhood through to old age — from supporting everyday tasks like dressing and eating to enabling people to work, socialise and pursue their interests.
You complete 1,000 hours of field placements across health, rehabilitation and community agencies, children's centres, kindergartens, schools and aged care facilities, taking part in multiple industry placements supported by the university's alliances with government and not-for-profit organisations, aged care facilities, community programs, and disability and children's service providers.
Teaching is by award-winning staff, academics, practising health professionals and researchers.
The program totals 96 units — 60 units of core courses and 36 units of work integrated learning — over two years at the Adelaide City Campus, with a February intake.
