Master of Pharmaceutical Science

Minimum Entry Requirements (International students), 3 entry-point structure: Entry level 1 (96 points, 2 years full-time/4 years part-time, Semester 1 only) — an Australian bachelor degree (or equivalent) in Pharmacy, Science, Biomedical Science, or Engineering (Pharmaceutical, Chemical, Biomedical or Materials discipline) with at least credit (60%) average. Entry level 2 (72 points, 1.5 years full-time/3 years part-time, Semester 2 only) — an Australian bachelor degree (or equivalent) in Pharmaceutical Science with at least credit (60%) average. Entry level 3 (48 points, 1 year full-time/2 years part-time, Semester 1 only) — an Australian bachelor honours degree (or equivalent) in Pharmaceutical Science with at least distinction (70%) average; OR an Australian bachelor honours double degree in Engineering and Pharmaceutical Science with at least distinction (70%) average. English entry requirements (Level A): IELTS (Academic) 6.5 overall (Listening 6.0, Reading 6.0, Writing 6.0, Speaking 6.0) or PTE (Academic) 58 overall (Listening 50, Reading 50, Speaking 50, Writing 50) or TOEFL iBT 79 overall (0-120 scale: Reading 13, Listening 12, Speaking 18, Writing 21).

The course equips graduates with the knowledge and skills needed for a career in the pharmaceutical sector as well as related industries such as cosmetics and food manufacturing, offering an alternative qualification to a PhD as a pathway to sector employment. Graduates gain a breadth of expertise across the drug discovery and development pipeline — target identification, drug design and optimisation, product formulation and analysis, clinical trials, and regulatory affairs — supporting careers in pharmaceutical R&D, regulatory affairs, and product development.
