Applicants must have completed (or be on track to complete) at least 36 credit points of prerequisites at university level within the last ten years, including: Mathematics (6 credit points), Biochemistry (6 credit points), Chemistry (12 credit points), Physiology (6 credit points), and Pharmacology (6 credit points). You may enrol with up to 12 credit points outstanding, provided they are completed by the end of your first year in the program.
In addition to a completed supplementary application form, you must provide: unit descriptions for all prerequisite subjects listed on your Supplementary Form, proof of identity (valid passport or Australian birth/citizenship certificate for domestic students), official academic transcripts with English translations if applicable, your final testamur or proof of qualification completion, and proof of English proficiency where required. If you hold overseas Pharmacy Registration issued within the last ten years, unit outlines are not required.
For domestic applicants, the Semester 1 closing date is 31 January of the commencing year, with a CSP closing date of 30 November of the preceding year. For international applicants, the Semester 1 closing date is 15 January of the commencing year. Separate deadlines apply for scholarship applications.
Yes. Graduates from the Master of Pharmacy will be eligible to register with the Pharmacy Board of Australia after completing 1824 hours (one year) of supervised practical training and an Intern Training Program.
Yes. Domestic students may be eligible for the NSW Health Tertiary Health Study Subsidy Program. For information on how to apply, refer to the University of Sydney's course page.
