Common Questions
Yes, the Master of Philosophy (MPhil) may serve as a pathway to the Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) at Bond University.
Bond operates a team approach to supervision, with each candidate supported by a principal supervisor and associate supervisors who offer expertise in a specific aspect of your project. It is not unusual for supervisors and candidates to be co-authors in publications resulting from the student's dissertation.
Through Bond's dedicated HDR Unit, candidates receive administrative support, specialist advice, access to training, and funding for expenses related to conference presentations and project costs. Your faculty will also provide you with your own assigned workspace with lockable storage and technical computing support.
Your core output is a major thesis totalling 30,000–40,000 words focussed on your approved research proposal (or equivalent weight of work for a creative arts project). A full proposal, including an oral presentation and a detailed confirmation document, will be put before a Confirmation Panel at the end of your first year of study, followed by bi-annual progress reviews and reports.
The Master of Philosophy is available across a wide range of study areas including Actuarial Science and Data Analytics, Architecture, Business, Commerce and Entrepreneurship, Communication, Film and Creative Media, Construction, Property and Planning, Health, Biomedical and Sport Sciences, International Relations, Politics and Arts, Law, Medicine, Project Management and Innovation, and Psychology, Criminology and Social Sciences.

Honestly I was lost when I first started looking at Australian colleges. There are just too many options and every agent gives you different info. A friend told me about FindTheCourses and within a week I had shortlisted 3 programs that actually matched my budget and visa situation. My advisor Sanjay was super helpful — never felt like I was being pushed into anything.
