Master of Professional Accounting

Minimum Entry Requirements (International students), 2 entry-point structure: Entry level 1 (96 points, 2 years full-time/4 years part-time) — an Australian bachelor degree (or equivalent) with at least credit (60%) average or equivalent GPA. Entry level 2 (72 points, 1.5 years full-time/3 years part-time) — an Australian bachelor degree (or equivalent) in Business, Economics, Commerce, Law, Humanities, Arts, Social Science or Science with at least credit (60%) average; OR an Australian bachelor degree with at least credit (60%) average plus an Australian graduate certificate (or equivalent); OR an Australian bachelor honours degree (or equivalent) with at least credit (60%) average; OR an Australian bachelor degree plus two years relevant professional experience. Applicants who have completed relevant discipline units in an Australian bachelor degree may be exempted from mastery knowledge units. English entry requirements (Level A): IELTS (Academic) 6.5 overall (Listening 6.0, Reading 6.0, Writing 6.0, Speaking 6.0) or PTE (Academic) 58 overall (Listening 50, Reading 50, Speaking 50, Writing 50) or TOEFL iBT 79 overall (0-120 scale: Reading 13, Listening 12, Speaking 18, Writing 21).

The course meets the academic requirements for admission as an associate member of CPA Australia and the Institute of Public Accountants, or entry into the Chartered Accountants' Program of The Institute of Chartered Accountants Australia — pathways toward careers as professional accountants, auditors, tax practitioners and financial analysts. Graduates are prepared as critical and creative scholars with a comprehensive understanding of accounting able to provide discipline-based solutions relevant to business and the accounting profession, as well as responsible and effective global citizens engaging in an internationalised business environment.
