Yes, the Accounting Practice specialisation satisfies the accreditation requirements of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CA ANZ) and CPA Australia, with graduates eligible to join as Associate members. The UWA Business School is also accredited by EQUIS and AACSB. Note that the Accounting Research specialisation is not accredited by the accounting professional bodies.
Yes, the Master of Professional Accounting is available on both a full-time and part-time basis. UWA's postgraduate courses are designed to be flexible, with the opportunity to study part time, a range of units taught after hours, and the option to learn via intensive units.
The Master of Professional Accounting takes 1.5 to 2 years to complete on a full-time basis. Part-time study is also available, which would extend the duration accordingly.
Graduates of the Master of Professional Accounting can pursue further study including the Master of Business Administration (MBA) after a minimum of 2 years' relevant work experience. Those who complete the Accounting Research specialisation are also well-positioned to pursue a higher degree by research or PhD.
