It suits professionals ready to pivot into accounting or diversify their career with a globally recognised qualification, developing the financial insight and management capabilities to step into senior roles across industries and opening doors to careers in auditing, taxation, corporate finance and strategic management. A Microsoft certification in Excel is built into the program.

You will learn about the latest business issues and integrate theoretical and technical knowledge of financial and management accounting, auditing, finance, economics, quantitative methods, information systems, business law and taxation law. You will also go beyond the numbers, developing skills in literacy and writing, quantitative data and statistics, and critical thinking.

The degree comprises 160 credit points: 120 credit points of specified accounting units and 40 credit points of business electives or a stream in Occupational Health, Safety and Environment, Research, or Information Technology. Upon graduation you will have met the minimum requirements for entry into CPA Australia, Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand, and the Institute of Public Accountants. The course is accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business International (AACSB), an accreditation held by all business courses at the Peter Faber Business School and by only six per cent of business schools worldwide. Students may exit with the Graduate Certificate or the Graduate Diploma in Professional Accounting.
