The Master of Professional Accounting offers three specialisations: Business Analytics (focusing on machine learning in business and data visualisation techniques), Finance (delivering a practical and theoretical approach to finance with strong industry links), and Financial Technologies (an Australian-first FinTech specialisation blending theory with practical applications, covering blockchain, quantum computing, AI and cyber security in a financial context).
Swinburne offers Victoria's only CA integrated Master of Professional Accounting in partnership with Chartered Accountants ANZ. This unique program allows you to work towards your CA qualification while completing your degree, receive 4 subject exemptions and complete 6 CA subjects during your degree, saving time and money on the path to becoming a Chartered Accountant. The 2026 indicative yearly tuition fee for international students is AUD $36,540, with a total course fee of AUD $73,080. For domestic students, the total fee shown is AUD $48,420. Fees are estimates only and are subject to change. A Student Services and Amenities Fee (SSAF) of $373 (2025 capped amount) is also included within the annual tuition fee.
The Master of Professional Accounting is accredited by or affiliated with several professional bodies, including AACSB, Chartered Accountants ANZ (CA ANZ), CPA Australia (Certified Practising Accountants Australia), the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), and the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA).
The KordaMentha Financial Crime Lab is an exclusive collaboration between Swinburne and industry partner KordaMentha. It gives students unparalleled access to real-world financial crime investigations. Through interactive workshops and short courses, students develop practical skills that enhance their academic learning and can lead to industry-recognised certifications. This hands-on experience is available to students while they are still studying.
