The program offers multiple exit points: you can exit with a Graduate Certificate in Accounting after completing Term 1 (TACC601, TECO602, TLAW607, TSTA602), exit with a Graduate Diploma of Accounting after completing Term 2, or continue through all four terms to exit with the full Master of Professional Accounting Services.
To qualify for the degree of Master of Professional Accounting Services, a student must complete 16 subjects (96 credit points). The course contains 16 core subjects in accounting and related fields spread across four terms, with Term 4 requiring selection of 1 from two specified core units and 3 from a range of electives.
Yes, TINT601 Work Integrated Learning Experience (12 credit points) can be selected to replace TMGT601 or TMGT603 and one elective unit. Students interested in this option can contact internships@imc.edu.au to enquire.
International students must meet the IELTS Academic English language requirement of a minimum overall score of 6.5 with no individual band less than 6.0.
Assessment methods are designed to encourage learning, provide feedback and measure achievement of unit learning outcomes. Forms of assessment vary among units and include research reports, projects, essays, group work, presentations, problem solving and case studies as well as tests, quizzes and examinations. Students may be required to complete assessment tasks alone or in groups, and in capstone units, assessments may include industry engagement and an extensive report.
