Master of Professional Psychology

Domestic Students:

• Successfully completed an Australian Psychology Accreditation Council accredited Level 1 and 2 qualification within the past 10 years (with a GPA of 5.5 or above in the Level 2 qualification) and be eligible for provisional registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency as a psychologist
• Be able to demonstrate personal and professional suitability for post-graduate training in psychology
• Submission of an application form, CV, statement of personal learning objectives and two professional referees
• Participation in an interview

International Students:

• Successfully completed an Australian Psychology Accreditation Council accredited Level 1 and 2 qualification within the last 10 years (with a GPA of 5.5 or above in the Level 2 qualification). For students with international qualifications, the qualifications must be assessed by the Australian Psychological Society (APS) for equivalence prior to submitting an application and evidence of assessment provided
• Be eligible for registration with the Psychology Board of Australia as a provisional psychologist (which requires you to meet all the requirements for registration)
• Be able to demonstrate personal and professional suitability for post-graduate training in psychology
• Submission of an application form, CV, statement of personal learning objectives and two professional referees
• Participation in an interview

Minimum English Language Requirements (International):

• International English Language Testing System (IELTS): Academic IELTS minimum overall band of 7.0 with no individual band below 7 (completed in the past two years), or
• Pearson Test of English (PTE): Academic PTE score of 66 (completed in the past two years)
• English language competency that meets the requirements outlined in the Psychology Board of Australia 'English language skills registration standards'
• Overseas qualifications must be deemed by ACAP as equivalent to Australian qualifications

• Psychologist in Private Practice (provisionally registered, following completion of registrar period under supervision)
• Mental Health Clinician
• Correctional Psychologist (provisionally registered)
