As we move to a management-by-project gig economy, projects and programs have become increasingly complex. Project managers are working in multi-layered business environments, with interdisciplinary, often isolated team members. In a world where everything can - and does - alter overnight, disruption and change management have become the norm. Project Innovation takes the management process to the next level, embracing innovative thinking and adaptable practices that can respond quickly to change and opportunities. It offers a whole new way of thinking - one that is not constrained by conventional ideologies and the fear of failure. It looks at alternative solutions, the freedom to experiment and design thinking. It recognises that success is measured, not just in the delivery of projects but in good design and end-user delight. General Requirements

Successful completion of a recognised Bachelor degree (or equivalent qualification) in any field
English language proficiency: IELTS Academic overall score 6.5 with no sub-score less than 6.0
English language proficiency: PTE Academic overall score 58 with no Communicative Scores below 50
English language proficiency: TOEFL iBT overall score 79 (no scores below 21 in Writing, 18 in Speaking, and 16 in Reading and Listening)
Alternative entry: Prior work experience may be used to apply for entry; documentation of employment history including a statement from your employer about your position, time in role, and a brief overview of the role performed is required
Credit for prior learning may be available if you have completed previous tertiary studies; academic transcripts and detailed subject outlines are required

Innovation is being promised. Autonomous vehicles, cures for the deadliest diseases, and smart architecture. But where do these innovations come from? Innovative products and services are delivered through projects. In today’s uncertain economic environment, the Master of Project Innovation equips graduates with the knowledge and skills to implement a ‘management by projects’ approach, which is in high-demand in our world today. This approach includes a set of activities such as planning, decision making, leadership and organisation all which are intentionally used to achieve efficient and effective project objectives. Innovation in project management facilitates an agile response to opportunities, freedom to experiment, exploration of alternative solutions, and a new approach that is not constrained by conventional ideologies or the fear of failure. Outcomes Product manager A product manager is responsible for the management of a product, from its conception all the way through to launch. This will include researching customer needs and requirements and defining the why, when and what of a product. A product manager will lead and work closely with cross-functional teams which can include engineering, marketing, and PR to ensure that the business’ goals are met. The product manager is also held accountable for the company’s overall strategy and goals. Change agent A change agent in an organisation will assist the company with adjusting to new business transitions and innovations. The responsibilities of a change agent include analysing changes that will benefit the workplace and produce change management plans and strategies in order to maximise employee adoption and minimize resistance. Business analyst A business analyst helps facilitate solutions for stakeholders by defining business needs and extracting and documenting requirements aimed at resolving a current problem or future opportunity, to overall help achieve the business’ goals. Graduate with digital badges Digital badges are growing in popularity for those already in the workforce and looking to up-skill or extend upon and formalise their skills, qualifications and experience. They are awarded to graduates of Project Innovation programs who have achieved at least a credit in a designated pair of core subjects. Each digital badge represents an emerging career specialisation (i.e. professional role) related to the wider project management discipline. Digital badges include design thinking, product manager, change-agent, agile coach, business analyst and entrepreneur. Design Thinker This digital badge recognises a person who has the potential to deploy a user-centric approach to develop innovative solutions from engineering and design by combining ideas from the arts, social sciences and the business world. Product manager This digital badge recognises a person who has the potential to be responsible for defining the why, when and what of the product, leading cross-functional teams from a product's conception all the way through to launch. Change agent This digital badge recognises a person who has the potential to help an organisation transform itself by focusing on the effect of changing technologies, structures and tasks on vital interpersonal and group relationships. Agile coach This digital badge recognises a person who has the potential to be available on staff to help oversee the adaptive methodology long term, guide and support agile teams and help the organisation embrace agile as a cultural shift. Business analyst This digital badge recognises a person who has the potential to help facilitate solutions for stakeholders by defining business needs and extracting and documenting requirements aimed at resolving a current problem or future opportunity. Entrepreneur This digital badge recognises a person who has the potential to lead the process of designing, launching and running a new venture often using a project-based approach to embrace economic, social and/or environmental innovation. What is the structure of the Master of Project Innovation?

The program comprises six foundational (core) subjects – three delivered by Bond Business School's business thinkers and three delivered by the Faculty of Society and Design's project management innovators. Students also choose three postgraduate electives from across the University and complete a significant research project in their final semester.
