Business analyst A business analyst helps facilitate solutions for stakeholders by defining business needs and extracting and documenting requirements aimed at resolving a current problem or future opportunity, to overall help achieve the business’ goals. The role involves collaboration with multiple departments to develop strategies that enhance costs while improving reporting. From there, a business analyst will develop and monitor data quality metrics so that business data and reporting needs are met.
