Co-requisite with MPM5003. Covers the closing process in project management, including lessons learned, exit criteria, contract closure, and updating corporate processes and templates.
Practical Industry Projects - PIP (Part A)
Capstone project in partnership with Practera. Students solve real-world business challenges for industry clients in groups of up to six, guided by a client mentor and lecturer. Includes certification and digital badge. Pre-requisite: MPM4005 and MPM5002.
Practical Industry Projects - PIP (Part B)
Continuation of the Capstone Practical Industry Project. Pre-requisite: MPM5015a.

The course has multiple intakes throughout the year: February, March, May, June, August, September, October, and November. For 2026 Semester 1 Block 4, orientation is on 27 May 2026, and classes commence on 1 June 2026.
The program requires completion of 16 units (160 credit points) delivered over two years. Year 1 (Level 4000, AQF 8) includes 3 core units and 5 specialised units. Year 2 (Level 5000, AQF 9) includes 6 specialised units and a Capstone Practical Industry Project (PIP) delivered across 2 parts. There are also nested exit awards: a Graduate Certificate of Project Management (6 months full-time) and a Graduate Diploma of Project Management (1 year full-time).
The Master of Project Management is offered at two campuses: Sydney (Level 3 & 4, 545 Kent Street, NSW 2000) and Melbourne (Level 1, 20 Queen Street, VIC 3000). The course is available to both domestic and international students.
The PIP is the Capstone project delivered in the final year, in partnership with Practera. Students work in groups of up to six to solve real-world business challenges for industry clients, guided by both a client mentor and a lecturer. It is not a simulation — students connect with real professionals and build industry relationships. Upon completion, students receive a certification and digital badge. There are two parts: MPM5015a (pre-requisites: MPM4005 and MPM5002) and MPM5015b (pre-requisite: MPM5015a).
