Co-requisite with MPM5003. Covers the closing process in project management, including lessons learned, exit criteria, contract closure, and updating corporate processes and templates.
Practical Industry Projects - PIP (Part A)
Capstone project in partnership with Practera. Students solve real-world business challenges for industry clients in groups of up to six, guided by a client mentor and lecturer. Includes certification and digital badge. Pre-requisites: MPM4005 and MPM5002.
Practical Industry Projects - PIP (Part B)
Continuation of the Capstone Practical Industry Project. Pre-requisite: MPM5015a.

The course requires 16 units (160 credit points) delivered over two years. Year 1 includes 3 core units and 5 specialised units (AQF Level 8). Year 2 includes 6 specialised units and a Capstone Practical Industry Project (PIP) delivered in two parts (AQF Level 9). There are two nested exit qualifications: the Graduate Certificate of Project Management (after completing the first 4 units, approximately 6 months full-time) and the Graduate Diploma of Project Management (after completing 8 units, approximately 1 year full-time).
The course has intakes in February, March, May, June, August, September, October, and November each year. Classes are available at two campuses: Level 3 & 4, 545 Kent Street, Sydney NSW 2000, and Level 1, 20 Queen Street, Melbourne VIC 3000. Both domestic and international students are eligible to enrol.
The CRICOS code for the Master of Project Management is 111561K. The course is available to both domestic and international students. International students applying for a 500 Student visa are required to complete a Genuine Student (GS) Assessment Form as part of their application.
Graduates of the Master of Project Management may pursue careers as Project Manager, Digital Project Manager, IT Project Manager, or Client-Side Project Manager, across a range of industries where project management skills are in demand.
The Capstone Practical Industry Project (PIP), delivered in two parts (MPM5015a and MPM5015b), is run in partnership with Practera. Students work in groups of up to six to solve real-world business challenges for industry clients, guided by a client mentor and a lecturer. It is not a simulation — students connect with professionals and build industry relationships. Upon completion, students receive a certification and a digital badge for their CV and LinkedIn profile. To enrol in MPM5015a, students must first complete MPM4005 and MPM5002; MPM5015b requires completion of MPM5015a.
