About This Course

The Master of Psychiatry (course code 342AA) is run by the Department of Psychiatry, University of Melbourne, developed following extensive consultation with academic staff, students and the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatry (RANZCP). It provides doctors with the opportunity to develop their knowledge and skills working with patients experiencing mental illness, complementing the RANZCP Training Program for psychiatric trainees. Entry Requirements

General Requirements

A postgraduate coursework Doctor of Medicine, or an undergraduate degree in medicine or equivalent
At least one year of documented experience as a practising doctor
Current medical registration in the country where the applicant is working
English language requirements: performance band 7+ for standard approved tests (deemed met by evidence of registration with the Medical Board of Australia)
Meeting these requirements does not guarantee selection
