Master of Psychology (Health)

The Master of Psychology (Health) is a path to registration as a psychologist, and is one of only two health psychology degrees offered in Australia. It delivers comprehensive training in both health promotion and clinical health psychology.
Health psychologists build the bridge between mental health and physical wellbeing, using an evidence-based understanding of human behaviour to help people make lasting health changes and to give them the psychological tools to manage chronic conditions.
The two-year intensive curriculum was developed with insights from practitioners, academics, students and consumers, combining industry best practice with recent advances in the field. You explore illness, disease and the psychological factors influencing health, and study healthcare systems, policies and strategies for health promotion.
Class sizes are small, with teaching by health psychologists and educators.
Graduates are eligible to register as a psychologist.
The program totals 96 units — 72 units of core courses and 24 units of work integrated learning — over two years across the Adelaide City and Magill campuses, with a January intake.
