Common Questions
Yes, the course is accredited by the Australian Psychology Accreditation Council (APAC). Upon graduation, you will have the skills, experience and professional recognition needed to apply to the Psychology Board of Australia (PsyBA) for general registration as a psychologist. The course also provides a pathway to further training in an area of practice endorsement with the PsyBA in organisational psychology.
Students are required to complete a minimum of 1000 hours (approximately 133 days) of professional work experience within an approved organisational setting. The placements are designed to expose you to the workings of different organisations and industries — including manufacturing, retail, finance, public service and consultancies — and the types of issues that arise in an organisational psychology setting. Students often secure ongoing employment with their placement organisation after graduating.
Under the Health Practitioner Regulation National Law Act 2009, all Master of Psychology students are required to be provisionally registered with the Psychology Board of Australia from the commencement of enrolment. Students must also undertake a Working with Children Check at the commencement of their course and a Police Record Check prior to clinical placements in each calendar year. Students may also be required to declare their immunisation status to satisfy the requirements of health organisations where they undertake clinical learning experience.
To be considered for admission, you need to have completed a four-year tertiary program (either an honours program or the combination of a three-year undergraduate degree including a psychology major and an approved postgraduate program) with a psychology major from an APAC accredited program with a minimum of a Honours 2A average or equivalent. You must also be eligible for registration as a provisional psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia. Applicants who completed their four-year program more than 10 years ago will need to articulate how they have maintained recency of Level 2 Pre-Professional Competencies.
The course is available commencing Trimester 1 (March start) at the Burwood (Melbourne) campus. It is the only organisational psychology course delivered in Victoria. Entry is competitive and places are limited, so applicants are strongly encouraged to submit an application as soon as possible.

Honestly I was lost when I first started looking at Australian colleges. There are just too many options and every agent gives you different info. A friend told me about FindTheCourses and within a week I had shortlisted 3 programs that actually matched my budget and visa situation. My advisor Sanjay was super helpful — never felt like I was being pushed into anything.
