Academic admission requirements (Band 8) may be satisfied through completion of one of the following: a Bachelor degree in a cognate discipline; or, where accepted, equivalent prior learning, including at least five years relevant professional experience.
The Master of Public Health at ECU takes 2 years full-time or part-time equivalent.
Students are required to complete 9 Core units and 3 Recommended Elective units. The course includes units such as Evidence-Based Practice, Epidemiology, Communicable Disease, Law and Ethical Issues, and Public Health Planning and Evaluation, along with a choice of core option units (Medical Science Masters Project, Translational Science, or Biostatistics) and elective units to specialise in an area of interest.
Students who are unable to complete this degree may, with Course Coordinator approval, exit with a Graduate Certificate or Graduate Diploma of Public Health.
Yes. International students are permitted to take a maximum of three units in online mode. Hence, for Visa purposes, International students should undertake ALL core units in on-campus mode so that they are able to choose electives that run only in online mode.
