About This Course

The Master of Public Health offers a two-year path into the health sector, taking a holistic approach that considers the health of entire populations rather than individual clinical treatment.
The degree provides a comprehensive foundation in the key public health disciplines: epidemiology, biostatistics, social and behavioural health sciences, health promotion, environmental and occupational health sciences, global public health, and health systems management. Communicable diseases and health policy are also covered.
You build expertise in public health practice and policy, and develop advanced problem-solving and research skills.
Throughout the degree you connect with leading academics, researchers, practitioners and policy makers who mentor you, and gain practical experience and professional networks through industry placements.
The program totals 96 units — 42 units of core courses, 36 to 48 units of discipline courses and 6 to 30 units of electives — over two years at the Adelaide City Campus, with February and July intakes.
