The Master of Public Health (Extension) offers four specialisations: Aboriginal Health & Wellbeing (equipping students for careers developing interventions into the physical, psychosocial, cultural and environmental determinants of Indigenous Australians' health and wellbeing), Epidemiology (for students wanting to transition to a career in quantitative research methods in public health), Health Economic Evaluation (for students wanting to transition to a career in health economics), and Public Security (combining public health with the health aspects of disasters, emergency management and crises).
The Master of Public Health (Extension) can be completed in 1.7 years of full-time study or three years part-time. For domestic students, the 2026 indicative CSP first year fee is $9,500 and the fee to complete the degree is $14,500. The 2026 indicative full fee for domestic students is $39,000 for the first year and $59,500 to complete. For international students, the 2026 indicative first year full fee is $60,500 and the indicative fee to complete the degree is $94,000.
