You will learn to demonstrate mastery of theoretical knowledge and reflect critically on its application, investigate and synthesise complex information, generate and evaluate complex ideas at an abstract level, design and evaluate research methods, communicate and present coherent arguments, and design and disseminate research that makes an original contribution to knowledge.
The Master of Research (Marketing) takes one to two years of full-time study, or the equivalent part-time. The standard full-time duration is 2 years.
Curtin requires all applicants to demonstrate proficiency in English. For the Master of Research (Marketing), the IELTS Academic requirement is an overall band score of 6.5, with a minimum of 6.5 in each of the four components: Writing, Speaking, Reading, and Listening.
Australian citizens, permanent residents and New Zealand citizens who are successful applicants of this Higher Degree by Research (HDR) program are eligible for a tuition fee exemption under the Australian Government's Research Training Program (RTP), for up to two years of full-time equivalent study for Master of Philosophy programs.
The Master of Research (Marketing) is offered at Curtin Perth campus. For 2026, it is available in both Research Term 1 and Research Term 2, with delivery options both on campus and online.
