Yes. The Master of Research equips students with rich research skills, providing a direct pathway to the Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) qualification at Adelaide University. You will graduate with the knowledge, skills and experience required to enter a PhD program.
The degree combines coursework with a research project. The first part of your studies is designed to help you develop a broad base of research skills, exploring key methodologies and approaches to research including topics such as methods, communication and engagement. In the remainder of your studies, under the guidance of an experienced research supervisor, you'll plan, design and complete your own independent research project on a topic of interest and relevance to your field.
If you didn't meet the entry requirements for the Master of Research, Adelaide University offers research-focused Graduate Certificates that can help you take the next step towards your goals. Specifically, the Graduate Certificate in Research Skills and the Graduate Certificate in Research Design are available as pathways. A Graduate Certificate (AQF level 8) in research training (or equivalent) with an overall WAM of ≥ 65 or a seven-point GPA of 5.0 or higher, following a 3-year or 4-year Bachelor degree, can also be used as the basis for admission into the Master of Research.

Honestly I was lost when I first started looking at Australian colleges. There are just too many options and every agent gives you different info. A friend told me about FindTheCourses and within a week I had shortlisted 3 programs that actually matched my budget and visa situation. My advisor Sanjay was super helpful — never felt like I was being pushed into anything.
