Students can select either a major in Exploration and Mining Geology or Geophysics as part of the Master of Geoscience program.
You must meet Curtin's English language requirements. For this course, the IELTS Academic requirement is an overall band score of 6, with a minimum score of 6 in each of the four components: Writing, Speaking, Reading, and Listening.
The 2026 domestic indicative first-year fee is $33,862, based on a full-time study load of 200 credit points. This is a domestic fee-paying (DFP) place, meaning it is not Commonwealth supported. Domestic fee-paying students may be eligible for FEE-HELP assistance. Note that fees are indicative only and do not include administrative, incidental fees, or textbook costs.
The Master of Geoscience is offered at Curtin Perth with intakes in Semester 1 and Semester 2 each year. For 2026, Semester 2 applications are open with a closing date of 5 July 2026. Applications for Semester 1 2027 are also open with a closing date of 28 January 2027. Applications are made directly to Curtin via their online applications portal.
