RMIT offers two main intakes per year — Semester 1 and Semester 2. Applications for Semester 2 2026 open on 10 March 2026. Applications for most courses are assessed on a rolling basis and remain open until all places are filled, so applying early is strongly recommended. Direct applications can be submitted via RMIT's Application Portal.
For domestic postgraduate coursework students, RMIT requires a study score of at least 27 in VCE units 3 and 4 English as an Additional Language (EAL) or at least 25 in English, Literature or English Language. Alternatively, a STAT overall score of at least 156 or a verbal reasoning sub-score of 155 is accepted. At least 2 years of professional work experience in an English-language occupation may also satisfy the requirement with appropriate employer documentation. International student English requirements should be checked on the specific course page.
You can apply directly to RMIT via the Application Portal. If you are an international student, you may also apply through an RMIT-authorised agent. Domestic students should check whether the course is available via VTAC or direct to RMIT on the course page. You will need to provide academic transcripts, graduation certificates, evidence of English language proficiency, and any additional course-specific documents.
Yes. RMIT awards more than 2,000 scholarships every year to recognise academic achievement and assist students from a variety of backgrounds. Scholarships are based on criteria including personal circumstances and financial need, study area, level of study, research, travel, and academic achievement. Both domestic and international students are eligible for various scholarships. Visit the RMIT Scholarships page for details.
The program is listed in RMIT's international student fee database under postgraduate programs, indicating it is available to international students. International students intending to study on a student visa should check the course page by selecting 'Student type: International' in the information summary to confirm availability and review specific entry requirements and tuition fees.
Tuition fees for international students are listed in the fees section of each program on the RMIT website and can be searched via RMIT's Tuition fees database. All fees are quoted in Australian dollars (AUD) and apply to RMIT University's Australian campuses only. Fees are held constant for each calendar year. RMIT may increase fees by no more than 7.5% at the beginning of each calendar year. Domestic students may be eligible for Commonwealth Supported Places (CSP) or FEE-HELP loans. Additional fees such as the Student Services and Amenities Fee (SSAF) and material/administrative fees may also apply.

Honestly I was lost when I first started looking at Australian colleges. There are just too many options and every agent gives you different info. A friend told me about FindTheCourses and within a week I had shortlisted 3 programs that actually matched my budget and visa situation. My advisor Sanjay was super helpful — never felt like I was being pushed into anything.
