This course may be completed in 2.5 years full-time or the equivalent in part-time study. The total credit load is 450 credits.
Applicants require a bachelor degree from a recognised tertiary institution and at least three years subsequent, relevant work experience. Entry to the course is competitive and applicants will be required to undertake an interview as the final stage of application assessment.
You will need to submit an Employer Recommendation Form, a Referee Report, an Application Statement, and a copy of your CV/resume clearly showing your prior work experience and roles that you have held.
For 2026, the domestic fee-paying postgraduate fee is $40,707 per year, based on a first-year full-time study load of 225 credits. The total cost will depend on your course options, including units selected and time taken to complete. Domestic fee-paying students may be eligible for FEE-HELP assistance.
You will examine and evaluate economic and financial models and trends affecting the minerals and energy sector, analyse problems and issues in the mineral and energy sector with evidenced-based solutions, access and evaluate database sources, effectively communicate with various audiences, use appropriate software packages, explore socioeconomic issues such as native title and the impact on Indigenous Australians, and work successfully in collaborative teams to achieve stated outcomes.
