Students in the Master of Simulation and Immersive Technologies become part of UNSW's School of Art & Design creative community and gain access to UNSW's Immersive Technology Lab, which features cutting-edge tools and equipment including a floor-to-ceiling 360-degree 3D VR theatre, a holographic simulator, mobile-based AR, and consumer VR headsets.
Yes, the program can be studied fully online. If you do not have access to UNSW's campus, you will need a Meta Quest 3 or 3S headset, a PC with at least an Intel i5-4590 or AMD Ryzen 5 1500X processor, a compatible GPU (NVIDIA GTX 970/1060 6GB+ or AMD Radeon RX 480 or better), at least 8 GB RAM, Windows 10 or 11, and at least one USB 3.0 port.
