A crucial component of the MSW(Q) is 1,000 hours of integrated field education, split across two units: Social Work Field Education 1 (SWK510, 500 hours) and Social Work Field Education 2 (SWK610, 500 hours), both completed in external real-world social work placement settings.
The total course fees for the Master of Social Work (Qualifying) in 2026 are AUD 57,600, with a per-trimester fee of AUD 14,400.
Applicants must meet one of the following: an IELTS Academic score of 7.0 overall with no band less than 7.0, or an approved equivalent such as PTE Academic or TOEFL iBT demonstrating equivalent proficiency. Applicants may be exempt if they have successfully completed an Australian Bachelor degree (AQF Level 7) or higher, taught and assessed entirely in English, consistent with AASW requirements.
The MSW(Q) has intake periods in February, May, and September; however, the course will be available from the May 2026 intake. The CRICOS Code for this course is 117058K.
