On-campus study typically involves 3-4 hours per week of face-to-face teaching for each subject or unit. This may take the form of single classes, or be combined as lectures and tutorials. Classes are held in the mornings, afternoons and evenings and in some cases, on weekends. In addition to attending classes, on-campus students have access to their online class space with services including resources, student forums and teacher feedback.

The Master of Social Work (Qualifying) takes 2 years full time, equivalent to 6 trimesters. Part-time study is also available, which is equivalent to 12 trimesters.
The course is available on campus at Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney, and Perth. Note that Perth will be available from Trimester 3, 2026.
For domestic students, the course consists of 10 units at $2,902 each and 2 units at $8,706 each, with an indicative annual course fee of $23,216 per 1.0 EFTSL, plus the Student Services and Amenities Fee (SSAF). FEE-HELP is available.
Yes, the Master of Social Work (Qualifying) includes 1,000 hours of industry work placement as part of the course requirements.
International students must achieve either an Academic IELTS minimum overall band of 7.0 with no individual band below 7 (completed in the past two years), or a Pearson Test of English (PTE) Academic score of 66 (completed in the past two years). Alternative English language tests may also be considered.
