Master of Speech and Language Sciences (Research)

Your research program is tailored to you and designed with your supervisors and the Faculty of Health at the start of your Research Masters. You'll study your chosen research topic over multiple years under expert mentorship, and regularly present your research to a team of experts for assessment. Your final research thesis or practice-led research project (such as a policy proposal or portfolio of work) will be examined for how you have uniquely contributed to your chosen field.

Yes. All applicants are required to contact UTS: Speech Pathology prior to applying to establish eligibility and supervisory arrangements. Students considering this degree should also submit an expression of interest in the first instance, after which the school provides further information and assistance with the application process.

Yes. As a recipient of the Australian Government's Research Training Program (RTP) Fees Offset Scholarship, you do not have to pay tuition fees for up to the maximum period of candidature. Additional scholarships are also available to help with living expenses. Yes. The maximum course duration is two years of full-time or four years of part-time study, but students can complete the course in less than the maximum time.
