Master of Speech Pathology

This course requires you to undertake fieldwork placements to complete your qualification. You must meet the following requirements: student declaration, criminal record screening and clearance, immunisation, first aid, manual handling, working with children, and communicable diseases clearance. You must complete the fieldwork requirements as soon as possible upon entering this course, and you will be required to participate in clinical practice during vacation periods. One or more placements may be in regional or rural areas of Western Australia.

You are required to submit the following documents with your application: an academic transcript and award certificate, a resume, and a video statement. The video statement must be a maximum of 5 minutes in length, with clear audio and the applicant clearly visible. You must also self-identify the units you have completed or are completing that meet the prerequisite requirements using the provided template, and supply unit outlines for any units completed at an institution other than Curtin.

The 2026 domestic indicative first-year fee for this course is $39,598. This is based on a first-year full-time study load of 225 credit points. Fees are indicative only and do not include administrative and incidental fees or the cost of textbooks. This is a domestic fee-paying (DFP) place, meaning it is not Commonwealth supported. Domestic fee-paying students may be eligible for FEE-HELP assistance.

Graduates of the Master of Speech Pathology at Curtin University are eligible for membership of Speech Pathology Australia.
