Yes, this course is recognised by the Tax Practitioners Board and the Tax Institute. Successful completion may also allow you to apply for membership with CPA Australia, the Tax Institute, and Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CAANZ), and may assist in meeting the educational requirements for registration with the Tax Practitioners Board.
Curtin's on-campus tax clinic offers unique hands-on and practical work experience providing tax advice to the public and businesses. You'll also participate in field trips and national and international study tours, industry networking opportunities, and attend lectures with industry guest speakers.
Applicants without a related (cognate) Bachelor's degree will need to complete the Graduate Certificate in Taxation Practice to proceed to be considered for the Master of Taxation degree program.
The 2026 domestic fee-paying first-year indicative fee is $35,574, based on a first-year full-time study load of 200 credit points. This is a domestic fee-paying place (not Commonwealth supported), and students may be eligible for FEE-HELP assistance. Fees are indicative only and may vary depending on the units chosen.
The course is offered in both Semester 1 and Semester 2 at Curtin Perth. For 2026, Semester 2 applications close 5 July 2026, and for Semester 1 2027, applications close 28 January 2027. You apply directly to Curtin via their online applications portal.
