Yes, the Master of Teaching (Primary) is available in both full-time and part-time modes. The full-time program is completed over 2 years, while the part-time program is structured over 3 years, with the same units spread across additional semesters.
You will complete practicum placements through MTeach Professional Experience 1 (EDMT5681) and MTeach Professional Experience 2 (EDMT6629), as well as a final capstone project comprising an internship in a primary education setting (EDMT6020: Master of Teaching Internship).
Domestic applications open on the last Friday in August of the preceding year and close on 15 December of the preceding year. International applications close on 1 December of the year prior to commencement. Applications received after the deadline may be considered if places are still available.
Applicants must download and complete supplementary application forms and submit them along with their online application. Only completed applications that include supplementary documentation will be assessed and considered.
The curriculum covers a wide range of subject areas including Primary English (Early Literacy, Teaching K-6 Learners, and Engaging Futures), Primary Mathematics, Creative Arts K-6, Science Technology and Toys K-6, Human Society and its Environment K-6, Personal Development Health & PE K-6, Special and Inclusive Education, Aboriginal Education, and professional experience placements, among others.
