Domestic Students
The minimum entry requirements, for all students, is the completion of a Bachelor’s degree at an approved tertiary education institute.
Additional pre-requisites:
Primary teaching proficiency
Your initial degree should contain at least one year of full-time equivalent study relevant to one or more learning area of the primary school curriculum.
Secondary teaching specialisation
Entry to the secondary teaching stream requires at least a major study in one teaching area.

Literacy and Numeracy Test for Initial Teaching Education (LANTITE).
Commencing students must attempt the LANTITE in their first year of study and are required to successfully complete the LANTITE prior to undertaking their final Professional Experience Placement.

International Students
In addition to the Domestic Entry requirements listed above, international students who are nationals of a country where English is NOT the official language, evidence of an IELTS test must be provided. The Master of Teaching requires an (IELTS) average of 7.5 with no band lower than 7.0 and Listening and Speaking at 8.0.
