Master of Teaching

Minimum Entry Requirements (International students): an Australian bachelor degree (or equivalent) with at least a credit (60%) average; admission is competitive and may require a higher overall average than the minimum. Students applying for the dual-sector Early Childhood and Primary Education, or Primary Education specialisation, must have at least one year of full-time equivalent study relevant to one or more learning areas of the primary school curriculum. Students applying for Primary and Secondary Education must have the same primary-relevant study plus at least a major study in one secondary teaching area. Students applying for Secondary Education must have appropriate discipline studies for two teaching specialist areas or one double teaching specialist area with at least a major study in one secondary teaching area and a minor study in a second. A major study is equivalent to 6 units (36 credit points) of sequential discipline study over 3 years; a minor study is equivalent to 4 units (24 credit points) over 2 years. English entry requirements (Level E): IELTS (Academic) 7.0 overall (Listening 7.5, Reading 7.0, Writing 7.0, Speaking 7.5) or PTE (Academic) 65 overall (Listening 73, Reading 65, Speaking 73, Writing 65) or TOEFL iBT 102 overall.
