Common Questions
The course can be completed in 2 years full-time (or part-time equivalent) via the regular program, or in approximately 1.3 years via the fast-tracked program, which combines semesters and intensive study periods (offered entirely online) to allow students to finish in a significantly shorter timeframe.
The course includes 60 days of Professional Experience across two placements: Professional Experience 1 (20 consecutive days in July–August) and Professional Experience 2 (40 consecutive days, either June–August in the middle of Year 2 for the regular program, or February–March at the end of the fast-tracked program).
Applicants whose primary language is not English must achieve a minimum overall IELTS score of 7.5, with a minimum score of 7.0 in reading and writing and a minimum score of 8.0 in listening and speaking, or satisfy one of the other approved methods such as documentary evidence of a prior qualification conducted and assessed in English in a recognised country (Australia, Canada, New Zealand, Republic of Ireland, South Africa, United Kingdom, or the United States of America) completed within the last two years.
Before commencing Professional Experience Placements, students must obtain a New South Wales Working with Children Check, complete Child Protection Awareness Training within the first two weeks of semester, complete annual Child Protection Updates, complete ASCIA anaphylaxis e-training for Australian schools, and pass the Government Literacy and Numeracy Test (LANTITE) before commencing the final Professional Experience Placement.
Yes, the MTch (Primary) course is accredited by the New South Wales Education Standards Authority (NESA). Upon completion of the course, students must register with the state professional teaching body — in New South Wales this is NESA — before they are eligible to teach in a school.

Honestly I was lost when I first started looking at Australian colleges. There are just too many options and every agent gives you different info. A friend told me about FindTheCourses and within a week I had shortlisted 3 programs that actually matched my budget and visa situation. My advisor Sanjay was super helpful — never felt like I was being pushed into anything.
