Common Questions
No, this course is only available for domestic students, which includes Australian or New Zealand citizens and Australian permanent residents.
The Casper test is a non-academic online test designed to assess an applicant's personal and professional attributes. It is required because it is an Australian Government accreditation requirement that all initial teacher education courses include non-academic selection criteria. Swinburne will consider Casper test results taken within the past year.
All applicants must be recognised as being proficient in an Australian First Nations language or must have achieved the standard of the Literacy and Numeracy Test for Initial Teacher Education (LANTITE) by 100 credit points. Students must have attempted the LANTITE by 50 credit points. Applicants transferring from another initial teacher education course must have attempted both components of the LANTITE (if possible) and disclose results of all attempts.
Yes, all enrolled students must maintain a current Working with Children Check (from the appropriate State Authority). A Police Check may also be required by a school prior to a placement, and students should check the list of each state's requirements.
Applicants must satisfy English language proficiency requirements through one of the following: an IELTS overall band of 6.0 (Academic Module) with no individual band below 6.0, or Swinburne's English for Academic Purposes (EAP 5 Advanced level) with an overall score of 65% and all skills at 65% or above, or equivalent measures as listed on Swinburne's English language requirements page.

Honestly I was lost when I first started looking at Australian colleges. There are just too many options and every agent gives you different info. A friend told me about FindTheCourses and within a week I had shortlisted 3 programs that actually matched my budget and visa situation. My advisor Sanjay was super helpful — never felt like I was being pushed into anything.
