The program includes two supervised teaching placements of 30 days each — one per year. The first placement (EDUC6902) focuses on planning, teaching, assessing and managing the classroom environment, while the second placement (EDUCX412) focuses on inquiry into practice and runs across multiple semesters. These placements provide hands-on experience in real secondary school classrooms.
The Master of Teaching (Secondary) is accredited by the Teachers Registration Board of South Australia (TRB). Graduates are eligible to apply for teacher registration in South Australia and can also seek registration in other Australian states and select countries, though additional criteria may apply and requirements are subject to change.

Your specialisation depends on the major completed in your undergraduate degree.
Yes. Students must sit and pass both components of the Literacy and Numeracy Test for Initial Teacher Education (LANTITE) prior to enrolling in the final Professional Experience course (EDUCX412 – Professional Experience 2: Inquiry into Practice).
