The Master of Teaching (Secondary) offers the most comprehensive teaching placement program in Victoria. Students become an active member of their placement school community from semester one, with support from a school-based Mentor Teacher and a university-based Clinical Specialist.
Upon graduation, you will be qualified to teach two learning areas and introduced to a third, to expand your knowledge and employability. You will be eligible to register with the Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) to teach across all secondary years.
Yes. Domestic students with a University of Melbourne bachelor's degree can access early admission and a Commonwealth Supported Place. Year 12 students can also secure their place with a Graduate Degree Package.
Yes. The course includes content to help students build a greater understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander ways of knowing and being, so they can develop inclusive learning activities in their classroom. A highlight for some students has been the opportunity to teach and learn from First Nations students, such as in Arnhem Land.
