The professional experience units must be undertaken in the following sequence: EPE529 (Secondary Professional Experience 1) followed by EPE635 (Professional Experience: Assessment for Graduate Teachers). Students must provide proof that they have met all university and State/Territory pre-placement requirements before commencing professional placements.
Students can specialise in their area of prior qualification, choosing from: English, Health and Physical Education, Visual Arts, Music, Digital Technologies, Languages and Languages Other Than English, Sciences, Humanities (history, geography, Indigenous studies), Business (accounting, economics, business studies, legal studies), and Mathematics. Students entering with two curriculum areas complete 40 credit points across two relevant specialist elective pairs, while those with one curriculum area also complete TES502 Language, Meaning and Learning and EMG501 Contemporary Issues in Education.
Yes. The Master of Teaching Secondary has been accredited through the Teacher Registration Board of the Northern Territory (TRB NT) and is consistent with the standards established by the Australian Institute for Teaching and School Leadership (AITSL) for the accreditation of Initial Teacher Education Programs (ITE) in Australia. On graduating, you will be eligible to register as a teacher in all states and territories in Australia, providing you meet all other requirements. You are encouraged to review employer eligibility requirements as they can vary state to state.
The LANTITE (ACER Literacy and Numeracy Test for Initial Teacher Education) is a test required by the Australian Institute for Teaching and School Leadership (AITSL). All students must pass this test prior to graduation. As a teacher, your levels of personal literacy and numeracy will be broadly equivalent to the top 30% of the Australian population. The cost of the testing is met by the student, and more information is available at https://teacheredtest.acer.edu.au/.
The annual tuition fee for full-time study in 2026 is AUD $32,760.00, which equates to $4,095.00 per 10 credit point unit (0.125 EFTSL). These fees are subject to increases annually, effective at the start of each calendar year. CDU also offers a number of scholarships to international students to assist with the cost of study.

Honestly I was lost when I first started looking at Australian colleges. There are just too many options and every agent gives you different info. A friend told me about FindTheCourses and within a week I had shortlisted 3 programs that actually matched my budget and visa situation. My advisor Sanjay was super helpful — never felt like I was being pushed into anything.
