Unlike architecture, which focuses on individual buildings and structures, urban design looks at groups of buildings, streetscapes, landscapes and the provision of municipal services, and aims to create harmonious, cohesive spaces.
Yes. At the Melbourne School of Design, you can combine the Master of Urban Design with any of the following disciplines in a reduced time-frame: Architecture, Landscape Architecture, or Urban Planning, as part of their unique double master programs.
The Master of Urban Design has two intake periods per year: March and July.
Yes, the University of Melbourne offers scholarships and bursaries to help students get connected overseas and get to Melbourne, including support for internships and job opportunities.
The Master of Urban Design takes 2 years to complete full time, or 4 years part time, and is delivered on campus at Parkville.
