It is the only course of its kind in the Southern Hemisphere, offered at the internationally recognised Burnley campus, which features nine acres of heritage-listed gardens and buildings showcasing new green infrastructure technologies like green walls and roofs.
Yes, you can exit after one year of full-time study with the Graduate Diploma, or complete two years full-time to receive the Master of Urban Horticulture.
Students build practical horticulture skills through hands-on classes at Burnley and other sites, an industry internship, field visits, and seminars with industry experts, as well as an optional research project to explore a topic of interest.
Students receive dedicated support from experienced academic advisors in the Office for Environmental Programs, including course planning and academic skills advice, mentoring opportunities, networking events, access to the Postgraduate Environment Network, global exchange and overseas study support, fees and scholarship information, visa information, and wellbeing and accommodation support.
The course has intakes in March and July, and Commonwealth Supported Places (CSPs) are available, which can significantly reduce the cost of study for eligible students.
