About This Course

Masters Qualifying Program is designed to equip students with the necessary digital, information, and academic literacies, as well as the numeracy skills required for postgraduate studies in Australia. On successful completion of this program, students will be able to articulate into a range of Macquarie University Masters courses.

On successful completion you will be able to:

Describe fundamental concepts, terminology, and principles in a range of academic disciplines and acquire relevant ICT skills for postgraduate studies.
Demonstrate awareness of academic integrity for postgraduate studies in Australia.
Demonstrate oral and written communication skills appropriate for postgraduate studies.
Collaborate effectively and work in diverse teams in a way that is culturally respectful and ethical.
Apply critical thinking skills to a range of contexts for postgraduate studies.
Apply problem-solving skills to existing and/or emerging real world challenges.

General Requirements

Domestic students:

Completion of a Year 12 senior secondary qualification (HSC or equivalent) AND a 2-4 year full-time post-secondary qualification from a recognised institution assessed at Advanced Diploma or Associate Degree level (AQF 6) on the Australian Qualifications Framework.
OR
Completion of a 2-year full-time overseas Bachelor degree from a recognised institution assessed at Advanced Diploma or Associate Degree level (AQF 6) on the Australian Qualifications Framework.
AND
Students must be at least 20 years of age at the time of commencement.
In addition to the criteria listed above, admission to the Masters Qualifying Program articulating to the following Masters requires a prior qualification in a related field:
Master of Artificial Intelligence
Master of Biotechnology
Master of Criminology
Master of Cyber Security
Master of Data Science
Master of Education
Master of Engineering Management
Master of Information Systems Management
Master of Information Technology in Artificial Intelligence
Master of Information Technology in Cyber Security
Master of Intelligence
Master of International Relations
Master of Laws
Master of Strategy and Security

International students:
