Your professional experience will include at least 140 hours at Curtin's site at Cockburn Aquatic and Recreation Centre, and through one of their industry partnerships. These partnerships span elite sport, strength and conditioning, corporate health, clinical exercise physiology and paediatric exercise. Through the partnership with Fremantle Football Club, you may also work alongside some of Australia's top athletes in your professional placement.
Yes, graduates of the Bachelor of Science (Exercise and Sport Science) are eligible to apply for accreditation with Exercise and Sports Science Australia (ESSA).
Yes, this degree is a pathway to the Master of Clinical Exercise Physiology at Curtin, which will broaden your capabilities and enable you to use exercise to treat chronic conditions. If you perform well during your course, you can also apply to complete an honours degree, which involves undertaking a research project to contribute to scientific knowledge.
You must meet Curtin's English language requirements. For IELTS Academic, you need a minimum score of 6.5 in Writing, Speaking, Reading, and Listening, with an overall band score of 7.
