Common Questions
The course runs for 78 to 91 weeks depending on your study mode. Study Mode A (On Campus) is delivered over 78 weeks, while Study Mode B (Blended) may extend to 91 weeks.
EQUALS offers two study modes. Study Mode A is on-campus theoretical delivery, on campus practical/simulation, Structured Study Time, and Work Integrated Learning in industry — available to both domestic and international students. Study Mode B is blended delivery with theoretical delivery via synchronous and asynchronous online learning, on campus intensive practical/simulation weeks, and Work Integrated Learning in industry — available to domestic students only and particularly designed for students living in regional and rural locations.
Applicants must be 18 years or over at the time of application and have successfully completed Year 12 or equivalent; and/or an Australian Certificate III or higher qualification (or equivalent). All applicants must also demonstrate adequate English language skills and numeracy skills to communicate safely and effectively in health care environments. Students are also required to maintain valid evidence of a First Aid certificate, vaccination evidence (including Covid-19), and DCSI Screening Checks throughout their enrolment.
Graduates receive the nationally recognised HLT54121 Diploma of Nursing, which enables them to apply for AHPRA registration as an Enrolled Nurse. Graduates can also continue study through the HLT64121 Advanced Diploma of Nursing (Mental Health) or undergraduate university studies, with EQUALS' Diploma of Nursing course providing 12 months credit at most undergraduate nursing degrees (subject to approval).
Tuition fees are $12,500 for government subsidised places and $33,900 for full fee-paying students. Intakes are available in January, April, July, and October.

Honestly I was lost when I first started looking at Australian colleges. There are just too many options and every agent gives you different info. A friend told me about FindTheCourses and within a week I had shortlisted 3 programs that actually matched my budget and visa situation. My advisor Sanjay was super helpful — never felt like I was being pushed into anything.
