Postgraduate Qualifying Program

Polytechnic Institute Australia offers its programs across four campuses: Melbourne and Geelong in Victoria, and Sydney and Parramatta in New South Wales.

For postgraduate courses, applicants must demonstrate English proficiency with a minimum IELTS Academic score of 6.5 (no band less than 6.0), TOEFL iBT of 85, PTE Academic of 58, Cambridge English CAE/CPE of 176, or Duolingo of 115 with no band less than 110. Applicants who do not meet these requirements must complete an ELICOS program before enrolling.

Yes, students may apply for Advanced Standing (credit for prior learning) at the time of admission. All applications are assessed under the provisions of PIA's Advanced Standing Policy and Procedure.

Applicants who do not meet standard entry requirements may be considered under special admission arrangements if they have a minimum of five years' relevant work experience (including at least three years' management experience), completion of an Advanced Diploma or Associate Degree (AQF Level 6) with at least three years' relevant work experience, or completion of the Graduate Certificate stage at PIA or an equivalent recognised institution. Such applicants are required to attend an interview with the Dean and submit a portfolio of prior and current academic and professional work.

Offshore postgraduate fees include: Graduate Certificate in Business at $10,000, Graduate Diploma in Business at $20,000, Master of Business at $40,000, Master of Information & Communication Technology at $40,000, Graduate Diploma of ICT at $20,000, Graduate Certificate in ICT at $10,000, Graduate Diploma of Early Childhood at $32,500, and Graduate Certificate in Early Childhood at $17,500. Onshore fees are slightly lower for most courses. There is also a non-refundable application fee of $200.
