Graduates of the PQP may progress to the Graduate Certificate in Data Science, Graduate Diploma in Data Science, Master of Data Science, or Master of Data Science (AI) at SPI.
The Postgraduate Qualifying Program is 26 weeks in duration. Available start dates are 29 December 2025, 30 March 2026, and 10 August 2026.
International students must demonstrate English proficiency through one of the following: IELTS Academic with an overall score of 6.0 and minimum 5.5 in each band; PTE Academic with an overall score of 50 and minimum 42 in each subtest; TOEFL iBT with an overall score of 60 (Writing: 18, Reading: 8, Listening: 7, Speaking: 7); or TOEFL PBT with an overall score of 530 and minimum 4.0 in Writing. Test results must be valid and taken within three years prior to commencement. Alternative evidence may also be accepted.
The PQP consists of four compulsory units totalling 24 credit points: PQP100 Academic and Intercultural Communications (6cp), PQP101 Research Skills for Industry & Postgraduate Study (6cp), PQP102 Principles of Quantitative Analysis (6cp), and PQP103 Principles of Data Analytics (6cp).
