Adelaide University offers six main types of short-term programs: Short-term Exchange, Short-term Independent Study Abroad, Overseas Work Integrated Learning, Overseas Voluntary Placements, Overseas Not-For-Credit Activity, and International Study Tours.
Short-term programs generally take place in the June-July or December-January study breaks, and are less than a semester in duration.
A short-term, for-credit program is usually worth the equivalent of one course at Adelaide University. Programs such as Short-term Exchange and International Study Tours offer academic credit, while Overseas Voluntary Placements are primarily unpaid and do not contribute to academic credit.
In a Short-term Exchange, you are enrolled into an Adelaide University exchange course, pay tuition fees to Adelaide University, and receive credit towards your degree. In contrast, Short-term Independent Study Abroad programs are not part of an exchange agreement, meaning you are not enrolled in an Adelaide University course and pay all fees directly to the host institution or provider; credit is generally applied upon your return after evidence of successful completion is provided.
International Study Tours are short, intensive overseas programs led by Adelaide University academic staff. They typically run for 2-4 weeks and provide you with the opportunity to study in a new international environment alongside fellow Adelaide University students, while earning academic credit toward your degree.

Honestly I was lost when I first started looking at Australian colleges. There are just too many options and every agent gives you different info. A friend told me about FindTheCourses and within a week I had shortlisted 3 programs that actually matched my budget and visa situation. My advisor Sanjay was super helpful — never felt like I was being pushed into anything.
